I have run a Norton Antivirus scan many times, and it finds the same virus every time. At the end, it allows me to click a button to “fix”, then to “quarantine”, then to “delete”. I do these 3 things. Then it says I still have a virus. How can I permanently get rid of this virus?

Switch to a different antivirus program. This is a big problem with Norton.

Norton sucks, get ESET Smart Security, it blocks just about every virus, and wont let them into your computer EVEN if its a top virus, it updates about EVERY day, and it actually scanned a file i was ABOUT to download and found a trojan in it, i was stunned that it actually did that.

Haha, I had this SAME problem…. Very annoying
At some point in that amount of clicking there is a link that will say "View Details…." Or similar.
Click this and it will give you the location of the file.
Write this location down, the whole thing….On a piece of paper, not on your computer
Restart in safe mode and then locate this file and delete it.
Empty the recycle bin and then restart in normal mode and scan to make sure it's gone.
Contact me if you need help to boot in safe mode.
Good luck

I can’t believe Norton Anti virus. What’s your system configuration?
If your PC runs by P4 or higher you can use Bit Defender Anti virus 2009. This is a smart choice for this generation of computing. Try it out. I think it will solved the problem. To know about this program visit this site

Are you using the new norton antivirus (2009)? it does not suck and you need to upgrade.
Symantec offers free chat, they will help you with anything!
