  You can buy a new product key on the Norton website. Go to google and type in ‘Norton Security’. There should be a website. If you buy the Internet Security, you should be able to get a product key along with it.

  It is pretty simple, I am sure you can do it.

  I hope you are aware that this is a dangerous Trojan Horse virus.If you click on the link, it’ll infect your computer. It has given me a virus and I had to reinstall my computer and all my data is gone completely.

  If you can, spread the word and report these posters. We really need to stop them.

  I keep on seeing them everywhere and I am so scared I will click on them again.

  Please helps us get these people off of Y!A as soon as possible!

  Hi, Norton's products although good are slow and other than having a well recognised brand name then there is no advantage in sticking to them.

  There is an excellent FREE (plus a commercial version) security product called AVG, it works well and has regular updates.

  At the very least I recommend that you download and install the following:

  A. Spybot Search & Destroy - Freeware
  B. AVG, its on version 8.x but if you have a Windows version below XP then you need AVG v. 7.5
  C. Comodo AV.
  D. Superantispyware Free and commercial versions available.

  I used to recommend Ad-Aware but since they upgraded from v. 1.06 to v.2008 it has become unstable and I cannot trust it any more.

  There are a couple of standalone apps that check on a once-off basis for malware that are good to run every once in a while.
  One is called STINGER from McAfee and the other is called CureIt.

  Another product that I recommend is called: CCleaner (Crap Cleaner) is a freeware system optimization tool. That removes unused and temporary files from your system - allowing Windows to run faster, more efficiently and giving you more hard disk space. The best part is that it's fast! (normally taking less that a second to run) and Free.

  Then you have to pay for it. or try another free trial or choose a bunch of free programs.

  You can get Norton Internet security 2009 for about £20. This has three licenses. Share the cost with two other friend and its less than £7 each per year.

  Cheap when you consider it stops virus / spyware destroying your computer.

  Its a no brainer.

  I have a new HP touchsmart and for some reason my 2009 norton isn’t coming up. It is or was on my cp but I can’t get into it at all . will I have redown load the norton or what.
