Norton Internet Security… Move account?

April 3rd, 2008 · 1 Comment

I currently have a Dell desktop which I ordered with Norton Internet Security 2007. I have a good amount of time remaining on my subscription… I am building a new computer and I will obviously need internet security again. I like norton very much and want to have it on my new computer. My dell came with an oem of norton 2007. will i be able to just install this oem which i think is only made for dells on my build??? If not i can buy an oem of of newegg for only about $35. what happens when i install that one?do i loose my current subscripition?does the norton 2008 from newegg come with any sort of subsricption??? thanks.
oh yeah and i wont be using my old dell computer again so im not trying to jip norton some way and have the same account on 2 computers and only be paying for 1.

You can have your product key while installing to your new PC. One other way to be sure, you can email Norton customer service about license transfer. It will be one activated copy only. By the way, there are many after rebate free Norton Anti-virus software in the store (Fry's, Bestbuy, or CIrcuitcity), if you can get access to any of those stores in US you can get those copy of Norton.
