I installed Norton recently. I have 300 some days left.
Any way, I have Norton Internet Security 2008. I install it, it works fine right. Yeah, then a little box comes up that I need to update my "Protection Updates". Okay, so I click fix, two windows come up. One says Fixing, and the other is keeping track of the "update". Okay so the one that is keep track tells me my computer is UP TO DATE. The other window is saying that its updating it. And a loading bar keeps going and going and going, it does not stop. If I click "Finish" on my "tracking window" the whole "updating" stops, and there is this "X" on the Norton logo saying my computer is at risk. I have done that many many times. I hate that little "X" and I want it gone.
What is the Problem?
Is it okay if I uninstall it, then re-install it?
Should I change to AVG?
If yes, why?
I think I am not getting my self understood I hope you understand my question.

Change to AVG. Have never had a virus with it. Whereas Norton tried to delete itself once.

switch to AVG. Norton slows down your computer, also I would recommend TuneUp Utilities. Trust me I'm with you, I hate Norton. It screwed up my computer,
