[Norton] Is it safe to disable osCheck.exe?

August 9th, 2008 · 1 Comment

I was checking all my processes because i was disabling that ones i don’t need and I came across with this processes

osCheck.exe
ccApp.exe

found in …
C:\Program Files\Norton Internet Security\osCheck.exe
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Symantec Shared\ccApp.exe

what they do? what are they?
and importantly is it safe to disable it?

thanks
