Norton is popping up on my HP trying to get me to buy software. Should I buy it?

November 19th, 2008 · 4 Comments

It cost anywhere from $65 to $120 dollars to protect my computer. I think when they set my computer up in July, they probably installed it and now its ran out. Should I buy it? It keeps popping up on my screen saying I have 11 days then 10 days then 9 days to renew. Is this a scam or should I renew? It says HP software update by Norton and warns me to protect my computer from predators.

While it’s not really a scam, it is a buisness plan. Your computer probably came with a trial of Norton. Norton is a descent antivirus program, but there are much better ones out there. You should install something like Kaspersky or NOD32 for optimal service.

u get trial ware norton installed with every hp pc or laptop..
so its not a spam…the free period is about 60-90 days..
so if u wish to continue with norton as ur antivirus u can buy it..
but norton uses loads of system resources..
so u can get some other better antivirus for free by downloading..
      try avast,antivir etc..
u can search for free antivirus
