Norton or Avira or McAfee or Avast or AVG or Kaspersky - Are these AV tests accurate?

Please look at these anti-virus/anti-malware tests conducted back in February 2009. Is there any reason NOT to believe in these results?

So many of you here debate over AVG or Norton or McAfee or Avira or Avast or whatever… These tests really expose several of the products many of you swear by (AVG) on Answers as being deficient in key areas (scan times, false positives, miss script malware, etc…).

I would be interested in your views. I'm just trying to separate Facts from biased opinions.

Based on the results, Kaspersky & Norton & McAfee & NOD32 ranked the highest.

Avira, Avast, BitDefender were in the next strong category.

AVG, OneCare, and Others in a lower category primarily due to high number of false positives, scan speed, poor Script Malware and other malware detection.
