Every day, the Norton 360 icon in the taskbar notification area (near the clock) has a red “x” over it and Norton 360 flashes me a message that says, “Your browswer is not set to detect fraudulent web sites or to authenticate genuine web sites.” So everyday I click on “Fix” and the message goes away and the red “x” changes into a green “check mark”. As soon as I start my internet browser, I get the same error message! (”Your browswer is not set to detect fraudulent web sites or to authenticate genuine web sites.”) So I click “Fix” and the message goes away. But when I start a new browser session later in the day, I get the same error message again! (”Your browswer is not set to detect fraudulent web sites or to authenticate genuine web sites.”) So I click “Fix” and the message goes away. I open Norton 360 and check all the details and it tells me that yes, I AM protected, yet the error message keeps reappearing. Can you tell me how to permanantly “fix” this issue so I can browse uninterrupted?

Norton 360 Version 2 is not compatible with IE8.

YOU MUST UPGRADE to Norton 360 Version 3. This is very easy to do by letting Norton do the upgrade. Get onto the Norton site via Help and Support and start a live chat session with Norton support. Give Norton control of your PC through a live connect session. They will download for “FREE” the new Version 3 of Norton 360. They will also uninstall your Version 2 (FIRST) before installing the new Version 3. Problem solved and IE8 works great with Version 3.

Hi, when I go onto the internet, then try and enter an internet website it won’t let me. I’m with norton and it says my phishing protector is at risk, but it only says that on my user. we have 3 users, the other 2 can use the internet but I can’t. I’ve tried to fix it time and time again but it just directs me into buying seperate products, I NEED HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!
