Norton is the worst anti virus you can ever get EVER.

      Use AVG. Its the best.

      You'll need her account info.
Log in, go to MyAccount, and install.

Norton (anything) is utter crap. They may have good marketing, but their products are appalling.

Almost without fail, every person who runs a Symantec or Norton Security or AntiVirus product notices massive performance reductions - this crap chews through system resources moreso than Vista does - it is amazing to watch a new Core 2 Duo be turned into an old 386 after loading a Norton product.

If this is your home machine that you don't do commercial work on, then please remove Norton, go to the Symantec site and download their "Norton Remover" that you have to run after uninstalling it to remove the stuff the uninstaller can't remove (and THAT there should say enough about Symantec products by itself) and then run AVG Free - it is a better AV engine, won't slow your system down to the equivalent of s aloth on mandrax wading backwards through a lake of molasses, and you're guaranteed to feel all warm and gooey inside.

OK, you may not feel all warm and gooey, but the rest is right! :)

first uninstall the free trial one by going to control panel, add or remove programs and uninstall norton antivirus and all other program that have to do with norton like live update, etc. then if you have the cdrom version, then just put it in you computer and follow the onscreen instructions. If you didnt via internet download, then go to this link:
      https://shop.symantecstore.com/servlet/ControllerServlet?Action=DisplayOrderStatusPage&Env=BASE&Locale=en_US&SiteID=symnahho&ThemeID=106300

      then follow these intructions:

      http://www.symantec.com/norton/support/kb/web_view.jsp?wv_type=public_web&docurl=20080307092209EN

      Thats it.
