my norton internet security expired a while ack and now i need to uninstall it because i got a new AV program. but when i try to uninstall it it always hangs when its at 100%. why does it do that? how can i fix it?
I thought it might be because norton is on, so i tried disableing it following the steps on the norton website, but it says that i have to log on to my account and i cant even remember if i had one. so if it is hanging because its enabled, how do i disable it without logging on to some account?

Norton/Symantec provides a free tool that totally removes everything Symantec from your machine. Nothing is supposed to survive.
It’s sad to think their software has gotten so out of hand that this is needed.

Hope that helps.
