norton virus scanner attacked?

i do a virus scan and all the virus show up but Norton ignores it and it just scans to like 5000 files and then says scan complete before used to scan like 700,000 files . Trojan zlob spy booter etc like so many names appear when scanning and it just goes trough i have rebooted my computer several times but i install Norton same thing happens. i have Norton Internet anti virus 2008 there is like 20 days left. shall i buy another software well i have to but what is the best one i don’t want Norton again want another one ? and whats up with my computer is it been attacked ?
