oh, BLUE screen of death???

I got a blue screen, ran a diagnostic on it and all compontets got a green check but my hard drive…it got a big ol red X! is it worth trying to replace, or is it time to move on to a new computer?
computer is a dell laptop that is only a year and a half old, so the warranty ran out and dell wants to charge me $50 to even talk to a tech!
