ok, so im new to the whole anti virus thing, and i got Kaspersky 2009 and whenever i run a scan and it detects things theres a red bar that says "Your computer is at risk" so i click the "fix it now" button and that takes me to a different page. on that page i click "Neutralize all" but theres like no reaction at all when i do this. what do i do to get rid of all the viruses and stuff?
when i click quarantine it takes me to my documents and wont let me save anything anywhere

What are the other options,, i do not use Kapersky.. Can you quarantine ?

I use Kaspersky myself. Can you tell me what settings you got for Full Scan, Quick Scan and Object Scans? For most users, ideally the settings for all of them should be set to ‘Select action automatically’ for ‘On threat detection:’ Another thing, how did you installed Kaspersky? Express installation or Custom installation
In order for you to find that, go to top of the pane and select Settings and you’ll see three different scans. By the way, any detected malware in ‘Detected’ are backup copies so that you can restore or treat it later when new opportunities arises.
That Quarantine button is actually for taking your files and folders that you suspect to be infected into the ‘Detected’ pane. That Quarantine button doesn’t take you a quarantine folder. I know, it’s a bit confusing.
Or perhaps, you got malware that Kaspersky couldn’t fix, can you tell us what they are? There are places for you to go and you can get help there.
