On start-up, Windows XP shows all the names of programs opened but it doesn’t show what User Name is running?

I fixed my friends computer then I ran a program called Glarys Utilities and made it fix all the things wrong with the computer (its a windows optimizer), then I restarted the computer and the computer ran so slow so I decided to open the Task Manager. The Task Manager showed what programs were running but the column User Name, everything was blank. So my question is how to I fix that? I tried to restore my computer to before I installed the Computer Optimizer but that only helped it a little bit. I am running Windows XP.
