A friend sent an e-mail attachment which he created in Microsoft Vista. I have Microsoft XP and cannot open his attachment. Tell me how I open this file in XP.

Two ways, you can ask the sender to resave the MS Word file using the Word 97 format (it is available to him/her as part of the Save or Save As process).
Second you can go to http://www.microsoft.com for the Word Reader
