PC Monitor says "out of scan range" … please help?

July 15th, 2008 · 2 Comments

i was messing with my resolution and i set it too high, and now all the monitor displays is "out of scan range"

i know i need to set the resolution lower..but i cant see anything on the screen, and when i try to boot in safe mode, it says it is already in 600×800. (but i think thats just the safe mode resolution)

can anyone help me get my monitor back?? thanks

buy a vga PC monitor replacement cable, and hook your PC up to your HDTV, which will be able to handle the high resolution that your regular monitor can't. set the resolution back down and plug back in your PC monitor…and there you go.
