Go to Start>Search then type in Antivirus XP, your computer will find the folders. When they appear just delete them. If this does not work you can go to Start.>Run> then type regedit>then go to the top and click Edit>Find>Then type Antivirus XP again and delete those files too. **Be very careful that you do not delete anything other than these files by accident. This could damage ur computer**
By the way, Antivirus XP is probably the spyware software.

"Antivirus XP 2008 is a new rogue anti-spyware program that is advertised through Trojans and other malware. It is advertised in the form of fake security alerts and warnings on web sites that state you are infected with malware or are being attacked in some manner."

Scroll down to "Automated Removal Instructions for Antivirus XP 2008 using Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware:" and it's free to use. Please avoid the Google ads.

Malwarebytes is free to use not to get rid of antivirus xp you have to pay.

The Antivirus XP 2008 version that has invaded my network cannot be removed, it has hi-jacked my Task Manager, Active Desktop Manager, I can no longer run MS Config, Regedit nor Search for files, no CHKDSK facility and none of the normal operations on my Task Bar or StartUp windows menu are available, it has also prevented me from installing AV software removal programs such as AVG, it has removed the Windows Installer .exe facility, any program I try to install reaches 95% install and then collapses with the message that Windows Installer.exe was not found.

When I press the Windows+R keys , it tells me that the Sytem Administrator has denied access to this function, same with any other function thru’ keyboard strokes, I’ve tried every means, from Spybot S&D, Malware E-bytes, CC Cleaner, NONE of them remove this virus, some will find the registry hotkey changes that AV XP 2008 has inserted in the registry and advise you to ‘fix these problems” but none of them actually fix the registry.

So it’s format the HDD time.

The people making this virus should be put against a wall and shot.

Use the program Highjack this it worked to remove about 99% of the program from my computer, I still get the fake blue screen of death, but Im working on getting rid of that. System restore won’t work because the program disables it, or atleast it did on my computer.
