my laptop is running xp and starts up just fine but it is when it tries to load my antivirus (trend micro) that it freezes up. I can see the icon trying to load but after a few seconds it stops. I can see everything on my desktop and even the cursor is working but when i try to click on anything it won't let me. Anyone have any suggestions? Pleaaase help!

boot into safe mode and remove it and then reinstall it. Also, check to make sure you don't have two antivirus software programs they maybe fighting with each other causing the machine to freeze.
