my usb and touchpad was not working,tried everything then decided to reinstall windows from the cds i had got during the purchase of the dell laptop inspiron 6400. Now i cannot connect my broadband connection, the local area network does not work, i think there is a driver missing. i tried everything , pls help if u can; thank u

You need to download and install the driver for your network card. You should be able to get it from the Dell website.

of course, you can't do it. you don't have the driver for all the devices installed on your pc. the lan card, sound, video card, mouse pad. just download all of them from the website of your laptop. just type on the search bar the name of your pc(brandname) and the model. ex: download brandname model. that's it. or if you have the driver then just install it.

go to your network connection and delete all of the current connections. Then restart your computer and it should re-configure itself.
