Hey. I'm looking for a freeware or open source (I might be able to make an exception if it's good enough) portable app (IE, stand alone, no need to install on the HDD Itself) that can encrypt a folder on a flash drive or memory card. I've tried several different programs but none of them have what I'm looking for. I'm looking for something I can drop on my drive, encrypt the folder, and not only encrypt the files but make it so you actually can't open the folder. Even if it's encrypted, being able to open the folder and see "shadyfile.exe.encrypt" doesn't really help. I've seen this in some programs but you had to actually have the program installed on that computer to encrypt or decrypt.
At the very least, if the folder locking isn't possible, scrambling the filenames and folders inside would work just as well.
Does anyone know of such a program?
Thanks.
