I have the automatic updates on, I updated the other day, and it said ''in order to finish the update it is necessary to restart the computer''. So I do…(several times) and it still says that I need to restart to finish the update. And now I can't get any new updates. Due to not getting any new updates my anti-virus security is down.
Any help would be appreciated.

I would suggest the you uninstall the AVG
and install something better.

uninstall all antivirus in ur pc…and install avg 8version…

Try to repair AVG by running the installer but select repair instead of uninstall/remove.
