I've run my anti virus software and my spybot S&D program and neither pulled up anything. My IE browser keeps closing unexpectedly. If I have one window open for a certain website and then try to open another window from that same website, it either closes all automatically, or if I close one window, it closes all of them. I tried to download Mozilla Firefox, but the minute I hit the download button, again, all of my browser windows close so I can't do anything to fix it. Help! I'm totally computer inept! =)
1. As stated in my original post I am TRYING to download firefox but because of my IE problems, everything closes before it begins the download.
2. No, I don't have the CDs that came with my computer, in fact, I don't think any cds came with my computer (not even recovery cds, etc)
3. Tried deleting cookies and temp internet files (as I usually do anyway) Didn't work.
Any more ideas???!!!

If you're running Internet Explorer 7 try disabling add-ons (Click on Tools, Manage Add-ons). Remove any add-ons you don't need (like tool bars, and any tools you don't recognise)
It could just be a corrupted add-on.
If you're using Internet Explorer 6 go in to the Start Menu, Click Control Panel and Double Click on Internet Options.
Delete the temporary internet cache and clear cookies.
Hopefully that will sort it out.
