Hey guys, i use kaspersky internet security.
I used 2009 version when it was out, and it worked well. Now ive switched to the 2010 version but unfortunately its not working well.
Im experiencing a problem
Everything is working, except the manual scan.
Whenever i try to manually scan my computer (or automaticall) it HAS to freeze somewhere.
Ive dried doing it in small bits, but it freezes ther too.
Like it barely reaches halfway if i scan my computer, and if i scanned just the my documents file, it reaches halfway and then it just freezes. (MY COMPUTER DOES NOT FREEZE. THE SCAN FREEZES) Like the bar doesnt move. Once it was on a video.rar file and i left it on for 5 hours and it didnt move. there is an option to ’skip’ the file, ive tried that so many times, but it doesnt wok. it doesnt skip.
Thats the only problem im experiencin, other than the the internet securitys fine. can anyone help me out or give me a solution?
Thnks

unless something is wrong with kaspersky, it could mean some malware or spyware is trying to run, and the scan stops.

Email their support team. Otherwise use another program for virus scan.

Same here mate….KAS 2009 IS worked like a charm….upgraded to 2010….and stuffed up my sytem…..you can find a lot of complaints online about the scan issues…mine took 4 days to complete….uninstalled and running on Norton IS 2010….far better…..low on resources……and faster…..i was not a norton fan but 2010 is better….so far so good…..hope u will resolve it……

Same here. I went from an incredibly reliable product that I had no problem recommending (KIS 2009) to one that has MAJOR bugs. The scanning options do not have any effect on the program. I tried scanning without the removable drives enabled in options and it still scans everything (and eventually locks up). Very disappointing.
