Okay, here’s the deal. I just uploaded my Sims 2 and my expansion packs onto my new computer (it’s a Dell Inspiron 1521 with the Vista program). I know Sims 2 isn’t made for Vista, and all runs well except for the fact that occasionally my Sim’s bodies are a different place than their heads and they are all streched out. I downloaded the Sims 2 Patch and the patch for my latest expansion pack and it still didn’t fix the problem. I was wondering if anyone has experienced similar problems and what you did to fix it. Thanks!

I have vista and I did the patch, but I haven’t had any problems with it yet. Maybe call the software people, I don’t think that should be happening at all, especially because you even downloaded the patch. Sorry I couldn’t help more!

Make sure your drivers are updated, it might be a graphics card (video card same thing) driver that is outdated messing with it. Vista is very picky when it comes to these sort of things. If you dont know how to do that, ask someone who can, I would if I knew your computer specs but Im not going to ask for them since its none of my business. Updates can be found at the manufacture site of your graphics card.
If that doesnt work, Try to go into your control pannel from your start menu and click “Control Pannel” “Programs” Then under ‘Programs and features you should see a link that says “Use an older program with this version of windows.” This will allow you to choose windows XP as a defult to run the game.
Sorry if none of that helps…
Vista BLOWS, Upgrade to XP.
