I recently bought a new computer( has windows Vista). I have a VPN connection to my college Intranet. When I got the computer it had a trial of Norton Internet antivirus. I wanted to use AVG Free version, but for some reason the AVG would not let me get on the Internet at all (when I called a friend they said they had this problem also). So I just used the Norton till it expired and had no trouble. I did not have the money (going to school and working less) to buy a antivirus, so I got the 90 day free trial of One Care. I like it but I am having trouble connecting to the VPN. I have to shut off my Firewalls to connect to the VPN, and then I can access some of my files in the college Intranet, but it won't bring up the college home page like it should. After a few min it shuts down my VPN connection. Any tips on how to fix this? Any other Free anti-virus programs that are good? Or any ideas how I can fix the problem with AVG free version?
