Problems with my video card ( EVGA Nvidia 7950 GX2 ) getting blue screens of death ?

September 7th, 2008 · 1 Comment

I’ve had this card for a little more than two years now and I get the BSOD every now and then . Sometimes worse cases where I can’t even boot my pc unless I remove the card and put it back in .

I tried uninstalling the drivers and getting the latest off nvidia.com but no luck . A weird thing as well is my computer recognizes my card as 512mb card when it’s a gig ~.

My pc specs are :
Asus P5N32-SLI Deluxe
Intel Core Duo 2.66ghz
2 gb ram ddr2 800
and two 300 gb hdd , forget which ones
some creative sound card

Is there anyway to fix this problem with my video card?

Maybe it is overheating. Try adding fans to your rig.
