Help with uninstall. I recently purchased a laptop with a 60 day trial version of Office 2007 pre-installed.
I never used it but at the end of the 60 days I tried to uninstall it through the control panel (change or delete programs)to install my genuine copy of Office 2003. I got the message that the file is corrupt and cannot be uninstalled. Insert installation disc. But of course I don’t have the disc because it was factory installed.
I then went to the microsoft help site and found a file called something like “how to uninstall office without the disc”.I tried that but there is still files that will not uninstall. I contacted the PC manufacturer but they never answered my query.
Can anyone help me out with this? I cannot use any of the Office features.Everytime I try I get a message “setup error at time of install”.I have tried to install office 2003 but everytime I try to use it, windows tries to open the 2007 version.I am running Vista Premium.
