I have the router here and everything but like everybody else am not in a position to *contact the person who set up or maintains the contact point*. Is there any way I can figure this stuff out via the internet if I'm only armed with model numbers?
The instructions warn me I'm gonna have to enter codes designed for specific routers, and I have no clue what a SSID is. There is also an encryption key I'm somehow supposed to know for my wireless router.
I'm simply wondering if I can get this info online if I simply enter the model number—it's a LinkSys router.

seems to me that you want to hack onto somebody else's wireless internet. If u own that connection u shld knw your own ssid and key. You cant connect to it unless u hav those 2 impt info. Only professional hackers can do what u r asking.
