i just scanned my computer for viruses and it had a couple.well its going fast again but my question is since its done scanning and it caught all viruses does avg deleats them when found or do i have to do it myself.
it didnt really say i had to do anything it just said finished scanning and exit

When AVG completes a scan you need to see the details and it can sometimes miss a few things.
too correct this you just highlight the file (in AVG) and click heal or remove.

yes Avg will do it is self leave it working. Don’t worry about it
