I bought Norton 360 a little while ago and I just got an email that said I can get a free update to Norton Internet Security so I downloaded it . It removed 360 and the IS apparently is a trial that expires in 15 days. So when the trial is done what happens? How do I get 360 back? Does it do it automatically? I really don’t know anything about this kind of stuff

Here is what basically happened, they sold another person a copy of their s.h.i.t.y. A-V and ripped them off. My mom had norton, and it sucked a.s.s. plus majorly slowed down her computer and gave her THREE viruses near the end of her subscription, Kaspersky and BitDeffender are much better and cheaper, sorry if you like norton alot.

if you bought the norton 360 you must have the disc so go to norton web site & find their removal tool for the security you installed & remove it. then after its gone put the disc back in & re-install 360. I personally wouldn’t use a norton product; they gobble up all your resourses & put things in your PC that you don’t want. I would look into a new anti virus plus spareware program like CA or Bitdefender

I will have to say that really sucks. Just go to the Symantec website and find the removal tool for the anti-virus program that was installed. After disconnect your machine from the internet by unplugging the cable. Then install Norton 360 from the installation Disk that you got when you purchased it. After installing reconnect to the internet download updates and scan your system. Norton is not as bad as what people try to make it out to be. There are some anti-virus programs that use less of your system resources… but that does not make them better. To be honest the Symantec company is probably your best bet… they offer great support and there anti-virus software has gotten a lot better. The bank that you have your money in probably uses a Symantec product as there anti-virus solution.
