Recovering deleted email using Thunderbird on a Mac?

Hi,

I have a friend that uses Thunderbird on a Mac and claims to have just accidentally deleted her entire Inbox. I know about PCs, but am a complete idiot when it comes to Mac, so I can't help her. It seems like on linux Thunderbird creates a hidden file with all of the mail data, and on a PC, Outlook creates a pst file, but I have no idea whether Thunderbird would have left anything that might allow her to recover her Inbox data on a Mac. Anyone know if there might be some hidden data somewhere that might still have her Inbox data?
