Registry changes on its own. how to save changes?

my PC's IE home page and title have changed after i visited a site.i changed the registry but the values revert back to their earlier state. how to ensure that the changes remain put?

      You have been hi-jacked. The only way to keep what you want is to get rid of the program that is doing it. Go to downloads.com and run ccleaner and superantispyware. They are free and do a great job.
