Make sure any hard disk drives are powered on and properly connected to your computer, and that any disk-related ahrdware configuration is correct. This may involve running a manufactured-supplied diagnostic or setup programme
setup cannot contiue. To quit setup, press F3″

To install windows XP, you have to know how to do so. It is not just installing Windows. When you reinstall xp, you have to format your pc first and that means that you loose everything that is on you c drive. When you have your personal files, music, videos, pictures ete etc on c drive you will loose it all. You either copy them all to a second partition or an external hard drive.
To install xp, you put cd in cd rom, restart pc, starting up from cd-rom and not your hard drive. You can change that in your BIOS. Getting in the BIOS press continiously on Delete while rebooting, When that is done, installation procedure of xp will start. Follow instructions,
Hope you have legal copy, because at the end of the installation you will have to activate xp. You do not have to register, but only activate xp.
When you do not do that, you will receive pop ups that you have to activate within 30 days.
When all this is not clear to you, I suggest, not to reinstall xp, but leave it up to some one who knows what he is doing
Why do you want to reinstall in the first place. It is very drastic.
