Reliable Anti virus / Internet Security software with lowest system requirements (doesn't slow down the comput

April 14th, 2008 · 2 Comments

My work machine is very outdated - AMD Duron @ 750 Mhz, 256 MB Ram.
I tried AVG internet security suite and Norton internet security but computer became extremely slow in doing basic applications… What Internet security suite do you recommend?
No matter price, I need reliable software, with low PC resources consumption.

Add another 256 memory stick..and system will speed up lots.

I recomment avgfree antivirus, spybot search and destroy if you only need basic coverage.
      Both of these are free

i have used trend micro internet security suite. i have used norton internet security suite. i have been tired of them slowing down my computer and popping up all the time, and having to renew every year. (im a cheap college boy) i now have the free versions of avg antivirus and ad-ware for spyware. and also the free version of zone alarm for my firewall. everything works great and doesnt slow my computer down. if you want good stuff and you have money i think that trend micro antivirus alone and webroot spysweeper are great choices.
