Help I want to remove the above I go to "add/remove" then it comes up with a box saying "we determine that u still have some Symatec Applications registered with Live Update u should not remove Live Update unless all Symnatec Applications have been installed first. Then it asks are you sure you want to remove yes or no.
What should I do I have had a look but dont know what to do as I definately want to remove this program and is it safe to do so even with what they said above? This program costs too trial runs out in 4days Iam ready to install a new antivirus pls help & tell me is it safe to remove it or what?????

It is probably safe to remove. What is is saying is that Symatec uses live update to update more that just Anti-Virus. They make other programs that may use it. PC Anywhere is one.
If you have no other applications using it click yes, OR remove Norton first then remove live update.
I found the best way to remove NORTON is by going to the Norton web site and downloading their removal tool. IT DOES A BETTER JOB than the add/remove programs does even though Norton says you can use add/remove programs.

I'm sure this is just a scary message to stop you uninstalling their product. If it were me, I'd uninstall no matter what the cost. Norton is bad.

If u want to get rid of Norton Anti Virus u have to uninstall every application connected to it so it's also Live Update. I would definitely uninstall Norton and buy a new anti virus better than that one. Norton is slow, big and it makes ur machine slower.
