Remove password for data encryption.?

August 28th, 2008 · 1 Comment

I recently bought a new laptop with vista and I enabled fingerprint scanning. However when I scan my fingerprint it verifies it and tells me to type in a password for data encryption. This password is the same as my log in password. How do I remove the password so that I can scan my fingerprint and just log in, or just type the password, but not scan my fingerprint and then type the password. Thanks.

Remove your password in Start > Control Panel > User Accounts.
