I got Kaspersky Internet Security 2010. How exactly do I get rid of bad stuff (virus, trojans etc) that is detected. For example, I’m at the protection status page and on the bottom it’s scanning and according to mine it says it has detected 2 threats (a virus and a trojan) but it won’t get rid of them. I do a full scan, nothing pops up. Am I just reading it wrong or something?
I did a full scan again and was a way from my computer when it finished and nothing came up. I checked the reports, it says the same thing as the scanner on the protection page (1 trojan 1 virus) and no instructions on how to get rid of them.

This program is what is called a rogue (or fake) application.
The program itself is the infection. It’s design to annoy and scare you into going to whatever website it wants you to and give up your personal information by purchasing This program is what is called a rogue (or fake) application.

Most anti-virus (AV) programs don’t catch this type of infection due to the fact that it’s not the only infection on your system. There is usually another infection working in the background trying to keep that infection hiding.
Malwarebytes is a free program that targets these type of infections. And you can download this program from malwarebytes.org or go the following URL:
http://drsgeorgia.com/malwarebytes.
Usually, it can catch all of the infections that may be at work.
Remember, the biggest problem that you are having, is not that infection that’s allowing you to see it, it’s the ones in the background that you can’t see.

It is not a virus, just follow the steps and it should remove them automatically.
