Removing Virus with Avast?

When i scanned my computer with Avast, it found a virus: Win32: Trojan-gen {other}

How do i remove it? It’s in the Virus Chest>Infected Files.
What does it mean when it’s in the Virus Chest? Does it mean it’s removed? If not, how do I remove it? When I right click the file, it allows me to click;
Delete / Restore / Extract / Scan / Email / Properties / Refresh
Which one do I click to remove?
And could this virus be a reason why my internet speed has been going down?
