Router and Mcafee question (yea I know it's sounds weird and complicated but it really isn't HELP ME!)..?

December 26th, 2008 · 1 Comment

I bought my gf an Acer Aspire One laptop and a linksys router for xmas..we hooked up the router to the pc in the other room and proceeded to search for the connection it showed up and we seemed to be on our way…BUT Mcafee(she got a trial version with the computer) popped up saying something like "do or do not allow this unsecure connection" and by accident I clicked "do not"…now nothing I try with Mcafee lets me connect to the Linksys router..what do i do!!???..It's pissing me off royally!!!!

Go into your routers config page and secure that sucka…

      should get you there.

WEP is OK but WPA will be much better.

You are blaming the messenger (McAfee) instead of fixing the problem!
      Good luck.
