running a game and movie on seperate monitors?

August 23rd, 2008 · 1 Comment

I have to monitors hooked up, and i’m trying to watch “gladiator”: while playing rome total war. i have windows media player (or avs) on one monitor playing the movie, and it works fine, but when i bring up rome total war, the video on the movie just goes dark. i can still hear the music and see the window of the media player, just not the movie. HELP!

i tried with other games. it seems to just be rome. any ideas?
i think running it in windowed mode would help, but ROME doesn't have a WINDOWED MODE. and alt+enter doesn't work

The most likely reason is the way rome handles the graphic card setting. There is probably nothing that can be done since its the games doing. The only thing I can recommend is try VLC player and Media Player Classic (the lateral on is part of K-Lite codec package, just google). Both are free.
