Running AVG in safe mode?

July 2nd, 2008 · 1 Comment

I ran AVG in safe mode, but after it finished scanning my computer, I wasn't given any option to remove any of the items it found.

It also ran in a dos type window as opposed to its normal interface.

What's the deal?
yeh, it was command line scanner

as to whats wrong with my computer, a full description can be found at this link

It probably ran a command line scanner. You should give us more detail about what is wrong with your computer specifically. I assume you have an infection you aren't able to remove in windows running normally so you are trying safe mode. In which case you may want to try the mcafee command line scanner, or Norton has one NAVC, or f-prot's. I linked them. They should all at least quarantine the files to if it finds them.
