Safe to delete and infected trojan in AVG vault?

August 16th, 2008 · 2 Comments

AVG anti virus detected an infected downloader trojan back a couple weeks ago.It is unable to heal and was therefore sent to the Virus Vault which says the file is infected.

I keep updateing AVG anti virus08 and was wondering if i could also download “ewido” which is an anti-spyware.Or would they not work together?

Should i delete the virus or will it attack my computer if i let it go away?

p.s.-The file type is a .gif , does this matter?

It is safe to delete :)

      It doesn’t matter that it’s a .gif

And it won’t let it loose to destroy your system if you delete it. It will wipe it off of your pc.

Delete anything that is trojan-related. It will tear your hard drive to pieces. We had it, i was hiding in a file that we deleted years ago… but i caught it, sneaky sneaky…
