when I scanned my computer with avast the result were that there were files that said "unable to scan ar…" and there are no other files that say that they are infected that I see, so are the files have viruses or not. And avast users please help, and don't tell me that I should change to a differnet program because I like to use avast ok! please and thank you.

Download MalwareBytes Anti-Malware program, its free and it removes harmful program in your computer, there is also a paid one that is more efficient, or you can try ad-aware se which is also free

I get the same thing…it's always some files in Paint Shop Pro,so I don't fret about 'em.

I use avast on all my pc's and laptop and have for a few years.Normally if avast finds an infected file it will let you know loud and clear. Check your "chest" to see if you have any infected files listed, warnings etc. If there's nothing there I wouldn't be too concerned. Just scan again. Here's a tip (you probably already know) use avast's screensaver. When it's on it starts scanning automatically.
