Scripting with windows vista?

September 19th, 2008 · 2 Comments

I am a scripter with samp (san andreas multi-player) and i have windows vista. I’ve heard that you cant script or take pictures in-game with windows vista! Is this true? Heres a little more detal:

Picture:
-When I press f8 in-game to save a picture, it wont show up in my sa directory as its suppose to, or any other place in my computer.

Scripting:
-After creating a server and getting it running you’re suppose to goto the server, and pick a place you want your characters to spawn. You should type /save and those coordinates(save points) should show up in your gta directory. Unfortauntly they dont show up there :/ Is this because im missing a step, or is it true that you cant script with windows vista?

Please help best you can! Thanks :D

Dear. I love coding with Mac OS X. Sorry I couldn’t help, I really just wanted to read this little post.

That is entirely false! You can code in any operating system you want to, even Vista. I run vista and I code HTML, Java, and C++ (and I like to mod HL2). You are most likely just missing a step, and probably don’t have the setting for f8 set right. Just double check everything because I can guarantee you Vista isn’t the problem.
