I have been using spybot and adaware for a long time now. I like spybot because it offers realtime protection and I use adaware (free) for on demand scans. Recently I have heard great reviews about other programs like superantispyware and spyware terminator.
If you compare the real time protection of spyware terminatior vs. spybot, which one would be the best? Overall which one is better? (I keep hearing spybots real time protection is no longer any good. I also hear spyware terminators real time is much better, but the people admit to being biased)
For removing adware which one is more efficient: adaware or SAS? (I assume SAS removes adware despite its name).
Between the four programs: spybot, adaware, SAS, and spyware terminator which two would you choose for decent spyware and adware protection.
I know it is best to have more than one program so I would like to take the best two out of the 4 listed above. In addition I run comodo AV, firewall, memory firewall, and antimalware

SuperAntiSpyware free edition doesnt provide real time protection….SAS also removes Adware…so if ur looking for a real time protection antispyware keep Spybot S&D

I am a registered antispyware, antivirus and software beta tester. First of all there are only a very few programs in the antivirus or antispyware that actually have a real time protection that works has claims. 99% of the don't do one think other then eat up your resources.
Superantispyware purchased has real time protection, I shut my down, because it is worthless. Superantispyware is the absolute best at detection without a background scanner. http://www.superantispyware.com
Spybot Search & Destroy, from Germany is junk, because they are way behind the times in today word of spyware. They only find a few rouge cookies.
Spyware Terminiator is in my opinion near rouge software because they use third party software that is loaded with adware & spyware. If you are talking about Ad-aware 2008 from Sweden, http://www.lavasoft.com Their free version it is good. Adware is a different rouge software.
