I have “Norton Internet Security (Symantec)” and i have the Norton Anti-Virus, but it could not be found. So what my computer teacher told me was to uninstall the norton anti-virus, and then download AVG. But i cant uninstall Notron Anti-Virus by itself, i have to uninstall the whole Norton Interent Security. Should i do this so, i can download AVG?
I heard AVG was better than Norton, is that true?

Yes, AVG is better than Norton and you should use it instead of Norton. I don’t know if AVG has firewall, but you have windows firewall so you should be fine.

The better is that you uninstall all the Norton Software cause it may cause you some problems later. Once you do this, you should install the AVG Anti Virus and that’s all or you can install first the AVG and then erase Norton but I recommend you that do the uninstallation of Norton first
And you are right, AVG is better that Norton and the best part is that it’s free.

Norton protection software ALWAYS ranks in the top 4 or 5 products year after year in independent labratory tests. AVG never ranks that high in the percent of virus threats it can detect and neutralize. The free AVG is OK, but it’s not the best by any means.
Why not ask Norton what happened? Your license may have expired (only lasts one year) in which case you’d need to renew it.
Ask at the link below before you do anything else.

Yes, you should uninstall Norton before installing AVG.. Often when you have more than one virus protection running, they conflict… It is also about preference, it is not necessarily that AVG is better but, Norton is a real space hog and slows an PC down to a crawl…… AVG is great in my opinion and I use it now whereas before I used Norton..
