I use Trend Micro PC-cillin Internet Security 14 and I was wondering if I should download some free programs instead. I know this may sound like a stupid question, but I recently downloaded a program called Superantispyware and it found over 200 spyware programs that Trend Micro couldn’t find… Please help
Thanks!

Trend micro PCcillin is a great antivirus and firewall.Even the best security suits don't detect spyware and this is why you need a antispyware program.Super antispyware is another great choice.Keep both.
Edit.To the user above….super antispyware is a pest?? Get a brain you ignorant

Trend Micro is on the falling side. i recommend avira antiAir (best detection) or avast (email scanning) for anti-virus. for spyware superantispyware and malwarebytes anti-malware (use two is better, they are on demend scan only so they wont affect each other). and a firewall like comodo.

My guess is that "Super", which IS a very good program, found over 200 hundred tracking cookies and not real spyware programs.
Cookies are not a virus or spyware, but SOME people consider "tracking" cookies to be an invasion of privacy. Cookies are basically harmless.
These tracking cookies are "3rd party cookies" from advertising servers. They can track your movements around the web in order to deliver to you customized, targeted advertising, based on your web-surfing habits.
It all depends upon ones personal level of paranoia, whether one considers tracking cookies some kind of threat. Some anti-spyware programs do not even report tracking cookies as even a minor threat.
You might as well keep your Trend and just do an occasional full system scan with Super.
There should be no conflict between the 2 programs.

I use trend micro for almost two years without a single infection. I also use super antispyware witch is also great antispyware. The items that super antispyware found were tracking cookies and such, not really a threat to your computer just junk.If you keep your antivirus updated I’m pretty sure you are protected

free Superantispyware finds malicious programs
but doesn't offer real time protection to prevent you
from having malware in the first place.
Superantispyware is not for Viruses it's for Spyware and adware. You can use it along side with your Anti-Virus program and also use Malwarebytes but you still need an Anti-Virus program that has real time protection.
If you don't like Trend Micro uninstall it and install free Avira AVAST or Spyware Doctor with Anti-Virus.
