Should I renew with Norton or McAfee?

August 7th, 2008 · 8 Comments

My antivirus (McAfee Internet Security Suite) subscription ends soon. Should I stick with McAfee, or switch to someone else, like Norton/Symantec Antivirus? What is your opinion of *your* anti-virus software?

Norton. Many people think other stuff is better becuase Norton takes much longer to scan.

The reason for this is because It SCANS every single file on your computer.

Ill explain more in depth after i explained about something else.

Many people thinkMcAfee and other “Anti spyware crap work better then Norton because it runs faster do you know the reason for this ? its becuase it only scans small amount of files then what it sez it is doing.

People think free “Anti spyware” programs are better because when they scan no Cookies or virus show up,and they think the the protection is better but its not.ill explain

Virus are now being designed to bypass McAfee and AVG because they have such a weak defense system. This is because when the computer has a crap firewall u an get pass it with ease and once u are past that firewall the scanner recognizes it as a normal file u have accepted.

Well thats it . Im only explain very brief and short but i could write a SA on it for you if i needed to .

Norton is a must buy for you.

I noticed earlier that all the youtube movies saying i have a virus on my computer didnt have norton take a look

      Norton360

Between Norton and McAfee, go with Norton.

My Anti-virus is Kaspersky Internet Security 8.
My personal opinion of Kaspersky is it does it's job extremely well, I couldn't really ask for better, it controls programs neatly and efficiently.
I also like how responsive they are to community input.

My professional opinion is that it has advanced technologies which allow it to clean viruses that others can't and from places others can't(system restore). They update very often and are quick to release definitions for new viruses, the firewall is highly customizable and rated highly. Plain and simple it has very good detection rates. It also has self defense which prevents viruses or anything else from accessing it or it's files to prevent viruses from disabling it.

Move to ESET NOD32 Antivirus, your computer need it!! Download from http://www.nod32.com.sg/html/44/42/

With thousands of cyber-criminals around the world constantly working to expose vulnerabilities in your system and access your data, you can’t afford to take risks. Eset NOD32 Antivirus provides the most advanced and proactive security solution.

ESET NOD32 Antivirus is trusted by companies like Canon, Dell and Microsoft, and consistently outperforms all other anti virus programs. It achieves the industry’s highest threat detection performance (for viruses, trojans, rootkits, spyware, adware, riskware, rootkits, phishing, hackers and more) without slowing down your system like other antivirus software.

NORTON 360 V2. IT’S BRILLIANT!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THIS IS A VERY THOROUGH SECURITY SYSTEM WHICH SCANS EVERYTHING CONSTANTLY. NOTHING GETS PAST IT IN MY OPINION. I HAVE USED IT SINCE IT CAME OUT AND HAVE NO PROBLEMS. ON THE PACKAGING IT TELLS YOU THAT THERE IS 2 gb OF ONLINE STORAGE, BUT WHEN YOU INSTALL, THEY UPGRADE YOU TO 4 gb ONLINE STORAGE. GREAT VALUE FOR MONEY.
      HOPE THIS HELPS, HAPPY CHRISTMAS.
