I recently noticed that I have Java(TM) 6 Update 2, Java(TM) 6 Update 3 and Java(TM) 6 Update 5. They each take 100+ MB on my PC and I need to take off useless junk from it. Is it okay if I delete updates 2 and 3 since I have a newer update (Update 5), or do I need all of them for Java to function correctly?
Thanks in advance.
What about J2SE Runtime Environment 5.0 Update 2? Should I uninstall it as well?

You should uninstall update 2 & 3 .. since you have update 5 installed … so update 2&3 are of no use now….

Uninstall them, but keep the most up to date version. You will have to do this everytime a new java update comes out until they fix their installers to remove previous/older versions of java. Also, if you are looking to remove lots of useless junk download ccleaner (http://www.ccleaner.com/download) and click download from filehippo.com. This will remove all junk on your system including temporary files, cookies, stuff like that. Make sure you restart your computer after the program is done cleaning. Good luck!
UPDATE : Uninstall that also, you only need 1 java on your computer which you should always keep up to date. Unless, you are a java programmer, dont worry about java runtime environment or java developement kit.
