Should I uninstall old applications when my computer upgrades?

November 4th, 2009 · 1 Comment

My computer automatically upgrades to the latest versions of many applications when they come out (firefox, adobe, apple, etc.) Should I uninstall the previous version to save space? Also…how do I know when it’s ok to remove a program…my pc is getting slower and slower with so much stuff on it!

With many applications, including Firefox and iTunes, the automatic upgrades release the previous version.

Anyway, the number of programs on your hard drive has nothing to do with the speed of your computer. You likely either have some malware on the computer, or are just becoming a victim of Windows slowing down over time. Windows gets slow regardless of whether or not you do anything to it.
